About the Author

Hello, readers, I'm Dr Patricia Mackin, the author of Your Breastfeeding Guidebook. I am a family physician and proud mother of two beautiful children. As part of my day job I am a practicing physician who sees a wide variety of patients in the outpatient setting. The rest of my time is dedicated to time with my family.

Educating and assisting breastfeeding families is a passion of mine. I have undergone formal education in breastfeeding medicine and done extensive research on the topic. I rely on my medical background and personal experiences to guide me through the journey of educating others. However, I am always learning new things from my friends, the lactation consultants I work with, and the patients I work with in my job and through the breastfeeding classes that I teach.
